| This chart was stitched by a librarian from the Chicago area of her favorite Shakespearean actor. The actor, Michael Hurst, is from New Zealand. After completing the work and framing it, the librarian and 15 other members of Michael Hurst's fan club went to New Zealand and met the actor in person. He was presented with the framed cross-stitch and said it was "fantastic". The chart is 141 stitches wide by 178 high, contains 97 DMC colors, and was done on 22-count. |

| The finished chart is shown below. The following quote was received from the librarian: --A little background, in case you wish to put the picture up on your website and explain what it is: the photo file I sent you was a screen-capture taken from an episode of "Hercules: the Legendary Journeys" (now off-the-air). Michael Hurst, a New Zealand actor, played the character of Iolaus on the show. Michael is also a Shakespearean actor, hence the "Hamlet Iolaus" title used for the cross-stitch. To me, it looks like Iolaus is doing the famous "Alas, poor Yorick..." scene from the play.-- |
